- To raise the profile of and increase community commitment to the Te Angiangi Marine Reserve.
- To facilitate the creation of visitor and education facilities at the Te Angiangi Marine Reserve.
- To promote the continued protection and restoration of the Te Angiangi Marine Reserve.
- To provide education to schools and the general public about the need to conserve and protect marine environments and also to provide schools and the general public with early coastal farming and Iwi history.
- To assist and work in conjunction with the Department of Conservation or any successor to it with the protection of the Marine Reserve.
- To assist people of all ages and all walsk of life in gaining access to the Te Angiangi Marine Reserve so they can experience the variety of marine species, habitats and ecosystems.
- To facilitate the planting of native species along the Hawke's Bay Coast with an emphasis on the Ouepoto Reserve and the land surrounding the Marine Reserve.
